John Cleese is a British actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known as a member of the Monty Python comedy troupe, and for his roles in films such as A Fish Called Wanda, Fawlty Towers, and Life of Brian. Cleese was president of the Cambridge Footlights Club from 1963 to 1964.
